Please see my video report for the complete experience.China International Airlines, Company Limited by SharesĪir China Limited ( Chinese: 中国国际航空公司) is the flag carrier of the People's Republic of China and one of the 'Big Three' mainland Chinese airlines (alongside China Southern Airlines and China Eastern Airlines). And it took around 1.5 hours to get out of the airport. Despite the 70+ immigration counters, the lines were really long. They were very attentive and also kept walking down the aisle to offer drinks. The cabin crew was just as accommodating. This is really convenient for passengers. Something that many other airlines are not offering on long haul. On a good note, the galleys had some self service snacks and drinks. Serving size was good enough for an average asian. There were 2 meal service on this flight. However, there are still newer Hollywood movies. The screens were not responsive and the movie selections were limited. I noted that it is Air China policy to prohibit charging mobile devices even with your own power bank. However, there is no power to charge usb devices. Upon boarding the aircraft, I noticed that the seats in economy were almost identical to the previous flight on an A330.

As such, I ended up wandering around the huge empty terminal which was freezing because the heater was not set to a warmer temperature. The promised access to Air China lounge was not provided to me as for some reason, it was fully booked.

However, connecting via Beijing was a bit boring with nothing much to do. I can finally say that Air China wasn't that bad at all considering that air fare is really low.
